Read the statuteOne of the first broadband grants for KOBD funded through the CARES Act and distributed in 2020. This program was meant to provide emergency broadband infrastructure for the COVID-19 pandemic. Internet service providers (ISPs), local governments, nonprofits, and other private entities were eligible to apply for the grants. The grants were competitive and featured a 20% matching contribution requirement. A total of 65 projects were funded across the state. These projects included both fiber and fixed wireless connectivity solutions.
